Louise has worked as a physiotherapist in Auckland, Christchurch, London, and Melbourne before settling in Wellington. She has more than 20 years' of experience in combining physiotherapy and acupuncture treatment.
She has a post-graduate Diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy and is a NZ Registered Acupuncturist. She previously had a business in Naenae and was then the Principal Physiotherapist/Manager in a central city physiotherapy clinic before starting Newtown Physio in 2003.
Louise has previously been president of the local Wellington Branch of Physiotherapy New Zealand and a long-term committee member of the NZ Private Physiotherapists Association.
She is responsible for the accreditation of the Newtown Physiotherapy Clinic. The accreditation ensures the ACC & Allied Health Services Standards have been met.

Marama joined Newtown Physio, following a year at Taranaki Base Hospital completing her Bachelor in Health Science from the Auckland University of Technology. The hospital training provided Marama with an excellent foundation in all aspects of medical conditions and injuries.
She has the post-graduate NZMPA Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (COMT) which includes diagnosis and treatment of the spine, neck, upper limb and lower limbs.
When Marama graduated from AUT at the end of 2011, she was one of four Maori students to graduate that year. Marama was privileged to have a graduation ceremony on the Ngawai O Horotiu Marae located at AUT University. She is from the Rakai Paka tribe, which is a sub tribe of Ngati Kahungunu. Prior to training as a physiotherapist, Marama represented New Zealand in dance and gymnastics.
